Teacher and Administrator Placement Services
How does CS&A work for your school?
You list your position opening(s) with us, either via the web or phone, and we begin to work on the position immediately.
Our Placement/Recruitment Group is divided by subject areas, so depending on the job you list with us (e.g. Upper School English, Chaplain, Lower School Assistant Head, etc.), the Placement Associate who handles recruiting new teachers or administrators for a particular subject area will send you a collection of appropriate candidates to review.
How does CS&A know which candidates to send?
When you list a position with us, provide as much information as possible about the criteria we should incorporate into our search. Depending on your criteria (e.g., "Must live in a dorm," "need 3+ years of experience," "should also be able to coach a winter sport"), your Placement Associate will review all of the candidates in that subject area and send you only the ones who comply with your specific qualifications.
Usually a candidate’s file will contain the following material:
- an application
- a resume
- 3-5 letters of reference
- a personal statement
- a transcript for undergraduate and graduate work
Candidates’ files will also include personal comments written by a CS&A Placement Associate. These notes provide insights that might not be ascertainable from the candidate’s other materials. Since we interview almost all of our candidates on the phone or in person, we often learn information about the candidate that goes beyond the scope of their application, resume and references.
How does this year stack up for CS&A?
For School Year 2009-2010, more schools and more candidates are working with CS&A than any other recruitment firm in the country.
Currently over 75% of all NAIS schools are clients with CS&A.
Over the last five years, our candidate pool has grown by 80% and the number of candidates hired through our services has grown by 44%.
Schools consistently tell us that we have the most impressive pool of candidates in the country. Why?
Every applicant is carefully selected, and only those applicants who we know will prove to be excellent candidates are accepted into our candidate pool.
