Will,
Your firm has been so incredibly consistent with keeping me updated and staying in touch about my job search! I'm grateful for this, and also for your company's overall professionalism. Impressive! Thank you Carney Sandoe and Thank you Will!
All the best,
-- Claire, 12/14/2011
Hello Devereaux,
Today marks the end of the first month of school at Princeton Day School. I took a moment to reflect on the amazing new crew of teachers here at PDS.
This past spring we interviewed over 100 candidates to fill our positions. The counselors at Carney Sandoe were absolutely amazing. Attentive to every detail, I felt as if we were the only school looking to hire teachers and administrators. While I know that not to be the case, I do appreciate the individual attention and the amazing follow-up that each associate provided.
The fact is...I could not have done it without Carney Sandoe. I feel as if I have a huge back office working on my behalf from mid February to June.
Specifically, John Faubert, Rice Bryan and Scott Roy were fantastic to work with. There were times when I was speaking daily with these
three and their collective insight and help was invaluable.
You have an amazing team and provide a needed service. Thank you to Carney Sandoe for all of the help. Our new faculty is making a new
and positive change in our school. We are so lucky to have them on board.
Thanks,
-- Steve Hancock, Princeton Day School, October 11, 2011
Dear Mr. McClatchey,
My husband, Eric, and I wish to convey our sincerest thanks to you and the staff of Carney, Sandoe and Associates. We first heard of your company this summer through our master's course work at Endicott College. Dr. Art Charles was one of our professors. We are now in the process of looking for administrative positions. From the beginning, we have had very personal attention. Dr. Charles helped us to update our resumes, Mr. Faubert sent excellent information and web site links, and Ms. Flynn talked with us on Skype to get to know us better.
Thank you for all the work you do, and again, for the personal touch.
Sincerely,
-- Heidi and Eric Dyck Hilty, Elkhart, IN, September, 6, 2011
Dear Jonathan,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for assisting me in finding my new job. The process was excellent and I am thrilled with my new position. After being here for a few weeks now, it truly is a very good fit for me. I will highly recommend your services.
Again, thank you.,
-- Andrea Reeder, Clearwater, FL, 7/28/11
Dear Jonathan,
I have great news, Jonathan! Last night, I accepted the offer! I can't tell you how excited I am! Now, I need to sing the praises of you and Carney, Sandoe & Associates. This recession found me in a couple of strange situations as a development professional. Both times, CS & A gave me many opportunities to explore with each one matching my interests and salary requirements. Your system of email notification and next steps to take if interested works very well. The support I received from you, Jonathan, was extremely helpful. I always smiled when I saw your name pop up on my email, knowing that another opportunity awaited! Thank you for being my champion out there and sending all of the opportunities to me and coaching me whenever needed.
I can't wait to get started!!! All the best,
-- Sharon Hills, Mason, OH, 7/16/11
Dear Jenny,
I have accepted the offer to serve as the chair of their English department as well as to teach. Although you and I haven't yet met in person, I think you did a wonderful job of referring me as a candidate for several excellent possibilities: it was clear that you "got" me, what I could do, and what I was looking for. Thank you very much for that: being on the job market in this economy can be a disheartening prospect, and to know that I had your insight and the resources and connections of Carney, Sandoe on my side was extremely empowering. I am very excited about the work ahead and immensely grateful for your part in this process. Although I look forward to many years to come at my new school, I hope that my relationship with Carney, Sandoe will continue throughout my entire career.
With best regards and many thanks,
-- Kathryn Anderson, Newton, MA, 7/6/11
Dear Beth,
The people at Carney Sandoe made the often stressful job hunt much easier. Beth and Hanne were constantly helpful and supportive, and treated me like a person rather than a resume. I have recommended Carney Sandoe to everyone I know looking to teach in private school, and will continue to do so.
-- Will Duffy, Amherst, NY, 6/2/11
I could not be happier with my experience working with Carney, Sandoe & Associates - it was wonderful. Between the referrals to schools that I found myself very interested in and the advice given to me by the associate I was working with, Rice Bryan, every interaction was amazing. Even though my past experience with boarding schools was minimal, I felt as though I was well-informed about what to expect in the search process, thanks to the Placement team. Rice really was there for me whenever I needed advice and made sure that I was able to make the correct decision; not only the "better move" but the decision that would make me happier.
I would recommend Carney Sandoe to anyone looking into working at private boarding or day schools.
-- Ryan Tolfree, Portsmouth, NH 6/1/11
Scott,
I have accepted the offer to be the Technology Director for the 2001-2012 year. Your help in finding this position, in developing my portfolio, my approach to the process and most importantly my perspective and outlook on finding the right position was invaluable. Thank you. Sure it is your job ... but I just wanted to express my gratitude.
-- Michael Beesley, Hailey, ID 5/27/11
I had the best experience with Carney Sandoe. Not only was my application processed quickly, but I was immediately contacted by email and phone for personal conversations with the Carney Sandoe staff. These conversations were geared toward understanding what I wanted in my search for the perfect teaching job. When I was contacted by a school and began speaking to them about their school goals and environment, I was amazed by the fit between myself and the school. Carney Sandoe obviously does their research and listens to what their prospective teachers want. Most of my teaching experience is abroad and Carney Sandoe has been an integral part in making this new adventure possible for me! I am so grateful and would refer them to anyone looking for a teaching position in the United States or abroad.
Melissa Guzmanm Davidson, NC 5/18/11
Dear Jill and Emily,
Thanks so much for all your help. I attribute a lot of my success to your company because of all the interviews I received via CS&A, how much I learned about the interview and application process, and how to really get a school's attention. In fact, I applied everything I have learned fromCS&A to my entire job search, including the tips I learned at the informational seminar in DC in April.
You both have been so helpful and so wonderful to me and my experience with you has truly been top-notch. As I said, I attribute most of my success to all I learned just through being a CS&A Candidate.
Many thanks, again, for all that you have done for me. I am beyond grateful for your help throughout this process. I may not have been hired by a CS&A school, but you still were able to help land me a teaching job - you all are a very integral part of my success. My experience with you has truly been invaluable. I really cannot thank you enough.
Kemmie Mitzell, Bloomington, IN 5/12/11
Dear Mr. McClatchey,
From the beginning of my job search to the joyous news just over a week ago of the acceptance of my new teaching/administrative position, Maddie Fiumara was professional, courteous, timely in her responses, and thoughtful. I don't understand how a person who has never met me is able to carefully analyze my professional credentials and personal statements in order to match such excellent schools to complement my expertise and interests. Maddie did such a great job guiding my choice for this new opportunity. Her abilities render fantastic results.
Dorothy S., Colorado Springs, CO 5/3/11
Dear CS&A,
Working with Carney Sandoe has been an extremely positive experience for me. During a time of slashed budgets where language programs are being cut and downsized left and right, I felt very secure that I would find a teaching position. Emily sent me an abundance of school profiles and I was able to really sift through them and find the ones that were a good fit for me. She made the suggestion that I apply to the school where I was hired for my first teaching position. If it weren't for her, I would have never applied-- and I loved teaching there. She continued to be a great help throughout my search and was always available with answers if I had questions, and overall advice about my job search. I am extremely pleased with Carney Sandoe, and recommend them to any education professional seeking employment.
Shane Braverman, York, PA 5/3/11
Dear Beth Dietz,
I wanted to thank you for guiding my job search. I have been very encouraged by the support that Carney Sandoe provides and the positive response I have received from several prestigious schools. Last night I received my acceptance letter into a PhD program at Virginia Tech. For the next four to five years I will be working full time in pursuit of my PhD. Unfortunately this decision means I will be withdrawing my Carney Sandoe application. I do plan on teaching as a career; however, and should the time come that I am again seeking teaching position I will remember the outstanding service that Carney Sandoe provides.
Thank you for all your help,
Nicholas KInney, Hamilton, VA, 4/28/11
Dear Mr. McClatchey,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you. Several days ago, I was given the great news I would be joining a most dynamic School as their new Assistant Head. About two months ago, I enrolled online with CarneySandoe. Several days after, I received an introductory email from John Faubert, and we set aside a time to speak on the phone. Soon after, John contacted me, and we spent about 45 minutes on the telephone. He asked many probing questions, and listened to me. He said we would be in touch. In a matter of days, John presented me with a list of four job possibilities. He walked me through the process, and he ended our conversation with words that meant a great deal to me -- "Do not worry, Medard. I will be there with you to make sure something works out." I knew there were no guarantees, yet I was comforted to know someone would help me navigate this process. Fast forward to today, and I can look to the future with a renewed sense of hope and excitement.
John is an excellent associate because he listens to his clients, and he follows up via email or telephone. He always asks the right questions, and you are left with the impression he does not view you as a case file, but as a real person. I want to thank you for entrusting John Faubert with such an important task. Also, I want to thank you for creating an online system that was simple to navigate.
Medard Thomas, Norwalk, CT 4/28/11
Hi Jenny,
Good news - the school offered me a position with their intern program, and I've accepted! I can't thank you and Will enough for all the help you've provided throughout the process -- even for a college graduate, this process has been infinitely easier and more stress-free than that of some my classmates who haven't been fortunate enough to work with a company like CS&A.
Kurt Bennett, Amherst, Ma 4/14/11
Dear Jenny -
I received an offer and I'm going to accept! I am extremely thankful for your and CS&A's help. I've really enjoyed the personal attention that you have provided and the ease at which you have provided it. You've managed a very seamless process that has been a breeze for me, and I am very thankful.
Best,
Ethan Timmins-Schiffman, Cambridge, MA 4/6/11
Hi Maddie!
I have excellent news! I received two job offers this week and I accepted one. I'm so so excited!!! Thank you so much for all of your help, it's been a wonderful experience and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I will definitely be using Carney Sandoe again in the future when I'm looking for my next job!
Thank you for everything,
Jessie Grees, Williamstown, MA, 4/1/11
Hi Courtney,
I attended Carney, Sandoe and Associates' Atlanta Forum hiring conference and wasn't surprised at how organized the event was.
All of my interactions with Carney, Sandoe and Associates - via email and phone - have been perfectly organized and professional.
It was great to meet people from CS&A in person and know that they are as friendly and helpful in person as they are through emails and telephone calls.
I'm truly grateful for the services that CS&A provides.
My colleague gave me great advice when he suggested I submit an application!
Sincerely,
-- Karla Held, Candler, NC, 3/30/11
Mr. McClatchey,
I'll keep this brief, but I just wanted to say that Scott Roy is doing a fantastic job. He keeps my preferences in mind, never seems to drop the ball (even though we've got at least 5 irons in the fire at all times), and works tirelessly. It's pretty rare to see someone that is both effective and pleasant. Scott's been great. As a technical manager, I've been working with placement companies (both in and out of education) for 20 years - he's by far the best I've dealt with.
Thanks again for everything you do.
-- Keith, Boston, MA, March 2, 2011
Hi Courtney,
Well, I made it through all my thank-you notes, but not without adding one more "thank you" to you, and by extension, all the folks at Carney Sandoe for the Forum at Boston. I can't even begin to wrap my brain around the logistics of planning such an event, so I'll just stick with gratitude and appreciation for how clear and simple the whole event was.
It was also nice to finally meet you in person, although I think I was a little loopy from interview fatigue by the time I found you. What a great problem to have! I never imagined I'd have that many schools to talk to, and even though a few may not even have openings and a few more are out of my teaching area (Competitive Debate! Middle School Chorus!), it was hilarious fun to have those conversations.
So truly, thanks for keeping an eye out for possible referrals, for working at all hours and everything else you're doing to help your teachers find a job. I really hope that you get some chance to put your feet up and catch your breath (before May).
thanks again,
-- Meg O'Connor, Williamston, MA, 2/22/11
Dear Maddie,
I wanted to say how appreciative I have been of your consistent help. You and the Carney Sandoe team have been quite professional in all our requests and have matched our qualifications and needs to excellent opportunities. I also appreciate how flexible you were with the Skype process. Without a doubt, I always recommend Carney Sandoe to other professionals in this rather transient world. Really, this was a very supportive, professional process and I do thank you.
Cheers,
-- Toni Mullen, Kuala Lumur, Malaysia, February 21, 2011
Dear Jenny,
On Feb. 5, I looked for you to tell you how much I loved my two days at the Carney Sandoe Forum. As a 28-year veteran teacher, it was thrilling to spend time with so many other passionate educators and visit with colleagues who I had not seen in 25 years. I also loved seeing previous students who were now working as teachers and coaches. It was an energizing and inspiring two days. Thank you!
It was also a great event for the entire Caldwell Family! First, I had a number of lovely invitations for interviews, which was flattering, so THANK YOU for making those possible. But it gets better! My husband had three interviews, my daughter (Alexa, who is working with your history placement person) had a whopping SEVEN interivews, and she was only there for Friday, 9:30-2:00!! My son, Tyler, had five interviews. So all of this is to say that the Caldwell Family (minus the youngest kid who is only a freshman in college) had a great time at the Forum. We camped out at a table in the "candidates lounge" and the Internet service was spectacularly fast, and the cookies that arrived to the lounge at 1:30 were absolutely delicious.
Thanks so much for setting up the Forum. I am sure it takes a huge amount of time to pull those things off. Sorry not to be attending the event in DC. You guys are great.
Best,
-- Darcy Caldwell, Putney, VT, February 21, 2011
Greetings,
I am contacting you as a candidate who has just decided to commit to an international school with the help of CSA. I would like to thank you and your dedicated staff for your hard work throughout this process. My placement associate, Jenny Fry, has been a wonderful resource and contact these past few weeks, and I just wanted to send my deepest appreciation for CSA's service.
Thank you again, and my best wishes to you during this holiday season.
Sincerely,
-- Ah-Young Song, Providence, RI, December 20, 2010
Dear Maddie,
I was offered the Latin position yesterday, and I accepted! I'm really happy to have this job; it's just what I wanted. Thank you again for all your help!
I don't intend to renew my search with Carney, Sandoe, since I'm hoping to continue to teach at this school for a long time. But no matter what I decide to do in the future, I'll always be grateful to CS&A for helping me find this crucial first job!
Best wishes,
-- David Berger, Providence, RI, August 16, 2010
Dear Todd,
Thank you so much for your help in my job search. Once again you and Carney Sandoe have been the key to my securing a new teaching position that fits with my background, training, and teaching experience. I really appreciate all you have done to assist me in my search.
Best wishes for a great year,
-- Tom Clauset, Winston-Salem, NC, August 4, 2010
Hi Maddie,
I've been meaning to write to you to say thank you for sending me such a wonderful referral! I was offered and have accepted a position teaching ESL for Pre-K/K children at that charter school in Washington DC. I can't believe how great everything turned out. The job market here in NYC was so depressing and would've been a huge undertaking to apply and get interviews through the Board of Ed. I think it is going to be a really good fit for me. Thank you again so much!
Regards,
-- Gina Verga, New York, NY, July 23, 2010
Hi Maddie,
I'm delighted to report that I was offered and have accepted one of the first positions to which you referred me, the High School Latin and English position. My initial interview was at CS&A's Boston conference. Thank you so much for all of your help with my search process. You connected me to just enough openings that I felt I could get to know each position at each school, but I never felt completely overwhelmed. The guidance that you and CS&A provided prepared me well for the various steps of the application procedure. Other prospective Latin teachers are in good hands!
Best,
-- Elisabeth Gillette, Wellesley, MA, July 21, 2010
Dear Beth,
I wanted to inform you that I have accepted an Early Childhood position! As you know, it's been quite a challenge for me (as with many other people), to find a job, so I am very grateful.
I just wanted to THANK-YOU for always being such a long standing support for me. I know in life it often is "timing" and a lot of luck.
All the best to you.
-- Christina Hartevelt, Madera, CA, June 29, 2010
Dear Lauren and Todd,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I just wanted to let you know that I got the job! I am really excited about it. They called me up right before the NYC Forum and I went to interview the following Wednesday.
As far as feedback on the Forum -- I thought it was very well organized, good location, and lots of helpfulness from the staff. And overall I think the service that Carney Sandoe offers is EXCELLENT! I will not hesitate to work with you again in the future, and I have been telling all the unemployed teachers I know to sign up with you guys.
Thank you so much for all your help!
-- Maria Noy, New Haven, CT, May 26, 2010
Dear Ben,
I wanted to let you know I was offered and have accepted the Associate Director of Admission position! I am very excited to join their team and truly appreciate your help with everything. Searching for the right position is not an easy task, and I am very grateful to Carney Sandoe for working so diligently on behalf of candidates and schools to find the best match. I will certainly call on CS&A throughout my independent school career, which you have been instrumental in launching. Thank you again for all your help, and all the best.
-- Orli Bander, Brooklyn, NY, May 17, 2010
Hello Emily!
I am just ecstatic -- yesterday I was offered a position at my top choice, and I have accepted it! I am absolutely THRILLED. I loved my visit to the school, and everyone there seems so kind. They are sending me the contract.
I will absolutely be in touch again soon, but I just wanted to send a first THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all of your assistance, patience, optimism, kindness--everything you did to help me through this great adventure! I couldn't ask for a better place to start teaching in the independent school environment again.
Carney Sandoe is the greatest! :)
With a happy hug to you and all the very best,
-- Katie Moore, May 12, 2010,Appleton, WI
Hi Beth!
It's been a hectic few weeks. Wanted you to know I received a head 2nd grade teaching position at my ideal school. I am SOOOOO excited! Thank you so much for all that you did to help me. I greatly appreciate it. I truly am a Carney Sandoe success story.
-- Leah Minchello, April, 20, 2010, New York, NY
Hi Rice,
I just wanted to say "thank you" to you and your team for the wonderful job you did for me. I will be headed to an excellent school in Miami next year, and I appreciate your assistance with the job search process. I had so many different schools from all parts of the country interested in me, thanks to you, and I was able to get my first choice. If I ever have to do this again, I would be very fortunate to work with your company. However, I hope I'll be staying put for a long time! Thank you!
-- Math Teacher, April 16, 2010, Miami, Florida
Dear Rice,
Using Carney, Sandoe & Associates as a resource was so helpful during my job search. You made me feel very confident and at-ease throughout the process and I am certain that being a candidate through CS&A got me the job. I will certainly recommend your organization to anyone who asks. Thanks again!
-- Sarah Guest, April 16, 2010, Stamford, CT
hi Emily,
Great news!! I just spoke with the Head of School -- he offered me the job and I accepted! I want to thank you for the work you have done for me--the referrals, the advice, the chat in the beginning, and all the behind-the-scenes work. I am very excited about this new job, so thanks again.
-- Lourdes Fernandez, April 8, 2010, Beverly, MA
Jenny,
I accepted the position yesterday. My wife and I love the school and think Savannah is a great town.
Thank you very much for working so effectively on my behalf. Throughout my search you've been responsive, positive, and helpful--I was confident in you.
-- Keith Muller, April 1, 2010, Washington, DC
Dear Carney, Sandoe --
I just wanted to let you know I just signed a contract for the 6th grade English position. Thank you so much for all your help this year. This is the second time CS&A has helped me find a job – I continue to refer all my job-searching friends to you! Thank you again.
-- Brittany Wopperer, March 30, 2010, Alexandria, VA
Dear Jenny,
I can't thank you enough for all of your help throughout this process, responding to all my questions and concerns and being such a great advocate. If I do end up wanting to secure another great job down the road, I'll very much look forward to working with you again. Thanks so much!
-- David Beckman, March 23, 2010, Princeton, NJ

-- Nina Allbert, March 16, 2010, Crescent City, FL
Dear Beth,
Great News. I received job offers from three schools, and I accepted one of them on Sunday, 3/7/10. I want to personally thank you and Katie for all of your support and guidance. I truly felt that you worked extremely hard to guide me throughout my search to find a teaching position (2nd grade) in an independent school. I feel very lucky to have you as my placement associate. I can tell that your passion and wisdom for communicating with candidates are valuable assets to your company. Thank you so much!
-- Markanthony Edwards, March 10, 2010, Phoenix, AZ
Dear Emily,
Thanks to you, I have about 25 follow up emails to schools to write because of all the connections you helped me make at the conference! I wanted to let you know how thankful I am that I have partnered with you to get my job search going. It is exciting to know how much has happened just since I joined early last month!
I thank you all for all of the work you have done, how smoothly everything ran at the conference, and how helpful Courtney and everyone there was. I am looking forward to more possibilities!
-- Anne Marie, March 2, 2010, Monterey, CA
Dear Rice,
I just wanted to thank you for your help jump-starting my search for a teaching job. Your organizational skills were excellent, but your effort to make every relationship a personal one was what I appreciated most. In my opinion, there is no better springboard into the search process than CS&A.
-- Caleb Balderston, February 5, 2010, Ardmore, PA
hi Molly,
Thank you again for always being so accessible and quick to answer questions.. I really have had great experiences w/ CS&A and continue to suggest it to colleagues considering a job change. So thank you for such a positive experience!
-- Jason Bock, January 6, 2010, Burlingame, CA
CS&A just helped me receive my first teaching job! Working with CS&A representative Todd Gochman was a great experience. He was easy to contact, spoke to me about my interests and made relevant referrals. The entire process was convenient and personal. Thanks to Todd and CS&A!
-- Amanda Ingrassia, Katonah, NY
Hi Jenny,
I just signed a contract to teach Upper School history and English at a wonderful school in New Jersey. As I'm sure you know, this job is one of the many prospects you sent my way; consequently, I wanted to take some time to express my sincere thanks for everything that you did on my behalf.
From taking the time to meet with me in April to indefatigably sending job notices my way, you were always in my corner, and I appreciate that support tremendously. Job searches are fraught and stressful in the best of circumstances, and even more so in a recession economy. Nonetheless, you were always a cheerful presence over email and in person, and you definitely helped me keep faith.
I'm thrilled about the job -- I felt that wonderful "click" with all the faculty and administrators I met that tells me it's the right school for me, and I'm happy to be able to teach in two humanities departments.
Thanks again for all your enormous help in finding me a great job.
-- John Deal, Astoria, NY
Hi Jenny,
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done this year for me. I appreciate your diligence and your good spirit in helping me secure a position for this upcoming school year. You have been a huge help.
-- Teddy R. Reeves, Ojai, CA
Hi Todd,
I got your letter in the mail, and I wanted to thank you again for all your hard work. I found that many of the schools you picked for me were excellent matches, and I would definitely work with CSA again in the future. In fact, I have referred a colleague of mine, who is currently looking for a position with your agency.
-- Annabella Kraut, Burtonsville, MD
Hey Beth,
Sorry for the late reply but I have been busy preparing for my NEW JOB!! I want to thank you and the staff of Carney, Sandoe & Associates. You have been as much support in guiding me in the proper direction as any family member or close friend. With your guidance I felt a sense of community and that I was not alone in these dire times. I am forever in debt to the wonderful and caring staff at Carney, Sandoe & Associates.
-- Kevin Wright, Bronx, NY
Hi Rice,
Thanks for the check-in. As of this afternoon actually, I have
accepted a job offer at Gilford High School, which is a public school
in NH. Although I did not technically receive a position through CSA,
the service was incredibly helpful and connected me to a diverse
amount of opportunities. I was able to interview, visit, and learn of
many great schools of which I could compare and contrast in order to
find the best job for ME.
-- Natalee Miller, Boston, MA
Hi Jenny,
Thank you for your email, and more importantly, thank you for representing me this past year again. I am so happy to report that I have accepted the offer and will be teaching 10th and 11th grade English starting in the fall. Yeah! It's been a year of transition, and I am really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things as a teacher and as part of a school community.
You have been so positive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout this process. While I hope to not have to search for a job anytime in the near future, I will miss working with you! Thank you so much for all that you do.-- Emily Lugo, Annapolis, MD
Hi Erik,
I just wanted to inform you that I signed a contract to stay with my current school for next year and would like to close my account. Professionally and financially it is the right move for me at this time. I want to thank you for all your work and referrals throughout this past year. It is your service and hard work that make Carney Sandoe the best and I will certainly contact you the next time I am seeking a job. Again, thanks!
-- Will Harvard, Elverson, PA
Hey Jenny!
Yes... the news is great! How amazing that you found out so quickly. You beat me to it, because I wanted to write to you and tell you how deeply I appreciate EVERYTHING you have done to help me throughout this process. I have a hunch that it was that "little note" from you that the English chair mentioned that may have gotten me in the door. The day I spent there was wonderful-- it is a fabulous community... challenging and exciting, but also humane and kind. I'm so excited to be joining them, and the part-time position really is ideal at this stage. I so appreciate your asking me to articulate why my thoughts were moving in that direction. Thanks for all of your good wishes, and thank you again for everything. I'm truly grateful that you are so good at what you do! I hope our paths will cross again at some point in the future.
-- Suzanne Bailey, Brookline, MA
Dear Jenny:
You're right -- I couldn't be happier about the way it's all panned out. I feel excited to transform into a Middle School teacher, and to see the challenges and joys that that'll entail. And being in New York City certainly doesn't darken the prospect either!
Thanks, too, for all of your help these last few months. Knowing that you and Carney Sandoe were on my side made the search simpler to endure -- especially as the nightly news implied that I was a madman for leaving my school.
Know that I'll be recommending CS&A, and you, to any and all worthies who find themselves in the market. If ever I find myself moving on (extremely unlikely, but still), I'll certainly reach out to you.
In the meantime, I wish you the best -- and thanks again!
-- Wil Lobko, Las Vegas, NV
Emily,
I am going to be teaching 4 sections of Spanish and assuming roles as a dorm parent, coach, advisor, and other responsibilities. I am so happy I'm ending up at a school I genuinely love. I can't wait to move out there this summer. The entire process has been really long, tiring, arduous, etc, but I definitely couldn't have done it without yours and Carney Sandoe's help. I appreciate all of the hard work you have done for me and the other candidates searching for jobs. You've helped make a dream come true. Thanks again for everything! I will be back again when the time comes to move on with my teaching career!
-- Ross Perrot, Tuscon, AZ
Dear John:
I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for me over the past few years in my job search. I have not always been the easiest candidate and would not have blamed you in the least for telling me to take a hike. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My wife and daughter and I will be moving closer to Boston this summer, and I hope to see you when I get there.
-- Carson Smith, Portsmouth, NH
Dear John:
Thank you for seeing the potential for a match with my new school. I’m excited to be headed to southern California! I appreciate all the calls you made on my behalf and for the pep talk. You were a huge help.
-- Wendy Bradley, Madaba-Manja, Jordan
Dear Jenny:
I would like you to know that I will use Carney and Sandoe's services in the future for any international search. You and your colleagues were very friendly and helpful, unlike some other agencies we have used in the past. I have told several of my friends who will be searching next year to sign up for your services, and I hope that a successful partnership might be forged between you and them.
-- Jesse Meyer, Grand Rapids, MI
Dear Chris:
My family is incredibly grateful to your and the whole team at Carney, Sandoe and Associates. You presented jobs that fit our criteria, answered questions on positions, future growth, and helped my family feel relaxed throughout the interview process. Your professionalism, availability, and knowledge of independent schools helped us realize the opportunity and potential at our new school. I am thankful to have built a relationship with CS&A that will continue as I advance my career in independent schools.
-- Eric McGrane, Charlottesville, VA
Dear Ben and John:
I just wanted to send you a quick note and thank all of you for helping me out with my search this past year. You were all extremely upbeat, positive, and professional throughout the search and I appreciate your patience in helping me find the “right” fit. Although my search ended up being long and tedious, I am extremely happy (and very busy!) at my new school, and I could not have asked for a better position and school to work for. Thanks again, hopefully our paths will cross again in the future.
-- Carson Roy, New York, NY
