Lawrence Alexander Featured on NPR
Lawrence Alexander, CS&A's Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and leader of our DEI Consulting Practice, was interviewed on WBUR, Boston's NPR station, regarding the recent Harvard University discrimination case and about bias in the college admission process.
Lawrence has conducted implicit bias training at schools and universities throughout the country, including Brown University, Texas Christian University, Clark University, Palmer Trinity School, East Woods School, and more. He holds implicit bias training for boards and search committees; works with schools to increase cultural competence among faculty and administrators; holds workshops and and delivers keynotes for students regarding issues of equity, inclusion, and justice; conducts campus climate surveys for inclusivity; and coaches school leaders on recruiting, hiring, and transitioning Directors of Equity and Inclusion. He has even held implicit bias training for the CS&A staff.
On October 7, he joined WBUR's Morning Edition host Bob Oakes to talk about overcoming bias in admissions and share his expertise from the work he has done in schools. Listen to the full interview here. He was also interviewed by the Chronicle of Higher Education on the same topic.
Congrats to Lawrence for weighing in on this important topic and for the good work you are doing in this space!
