Save the Dates for our 2019 Hiring Conferences

image with city names for conferences

It's the most wonderful time of the year for all of us at CS&A. We're busy recruiting at colleges and universities, visiting our client schools across the country to learn more about them, and attending association and other specialty conferences to build our network. At the same time, we're gearing up for the busy independent school hiring season that kicks off in the winter.

To support our candidates' job search, each winter we hold teacher and administrator hiring conferences in locations across the country, and we're excited to share our 2019 dates!

Our hiring conferences are convenient, efficient, and unique events that give candidates the opportunity to meet and interview with multiple hiring schools in one location and on one day. We understand that a job search can be time consuming, so our conferences are a chance to really amp up a job search and get your foot in the proverbial door. The events usually feature some type of professional development, such as a resume workshop or job-search tips from our veteran Placement Associates, and they're also a great chance for candidates to meet face-to-face with their Placement Team. Did we mention they're free to attend for active CS&A candidates? Because they are! (Not an active candidate with us? Apply now in order to gain access to our events.)

Hiring schools love our conferences because they can meet with multiple qualified and interested candidates for their open positions. Talk about time saving! Interviews take place in 30-minute increments throughout the day. Our online Conference Module lets schools search for candidates and build their interview schedule ahead of the event.

Highlights of our 2019 conference season include our fifth-annual FORUM/Diversity in Philadelphia. This two-day event is both a hiring conference and professional development symposium that will feature two keynote speakers and hours of presentations and panel discussions by diversity and inclusion leaders from the independent school community and beyond. This year we're excited to announce Michael Eric Dyson (sociology professor at Georgetown, New York Times contributing opinion writer, and contributing editor of The New Republic) and Peggy McIntosh (Senior Research Associate at the Wellesley Centers for Women and founder of the National SEED Project) as our keynote speakers.

We'll also be once again holding a hiring conference in conjunction with the National Association of Independent Schools' Annual Conference, which this year is being held in beautiful Long Beach, CA. Formerly known as LINK@NAIS, this year's FORUM@NAIS will be the same great event our schools and candidates know and love.

Registration for schools and candidates will open on November 1, so save the dates now and check out hotel and location information here. We'll see you this winter!

Is there a hiring forum closer to or within Maryland?

Hi Julius! There is not a conference in Maryland this year. The closest one would be our Boston conference, which is a national conference and features schools from across the country (and therefore schools in the Maryland area), not just schools in Boston.

Can you let me know the dates for the Administrators Hiring Conference? I am seeking employment in Atlanta or in the Georgia area. I will be relocating from Chicago,

Hi Alice, all the dates are listed above. If you are interested in attending, you need to be an active candidate with us so be sure to apply today!

There is not a conference this year at South FL? Actually I live at Delray Beach (33484)

Hi Soraida! We haven’t held a Florida conference for a few years now. Talk to your Placement Associate about your search and he/she can advise you on any jobs they are working on in your area.
