What We’re Thankful For: 2016

Happy Thanksgiving! At CS&A, we grateful for the work we're able to do, the people we interact with each day, and so much more.

At CS&A, we're grateful to be able to match passionate educators with jobs at some of the world's finest schools. Each and every one of us is truly thankful for the candidates and schools we work with—and for each other! As 2016 draws to a close, we look forward to continue working with incredible people in the education community.

Ahead of Thanksgiving, we took a moment to reflect on the things in our lives that we are thankful for:

Alex McLeanI'm thankful to work with such passionate and hardworking coworkers, and to be able to help schools find the next inspiring educators in their communities.
Alex McLean, Placement Associate

Courtney BardoI am thankful for my loving husband and daughter, wonderful friends, my generous and talented CS&A family, and for the Chicago Cubs for making me especially proud to be a Chicagoan this year!
Courtney Bardo, Placement Associate

Devereaux McClatcheyI'm thankful for being blessed with a job that I enjoy and colleagues who make each day a pleasure.
Devereaux McClatchey, President

Amanda RiegelI am thankful to be working in a field that is helping schools to grow future leaders, as it is critically important that we empower leaders who model integrity and compassion.
Amanda Riegel, Search Associate

Ralph DavisonI am immensely thankful for my spouse, children, and grandchildren; for our new home (we moved this year after 24 years in our last house); for the opportunity to help hundreds of people each year around the world through my work with CS&A; for friends and colleagues who teach me life’s important lessons each day; and for life itself. My cup isn’t half full—it runneth over.
Ralph Davison, Senior Consultant

Jessica WrightI am thankful to work in a place where I can strive to effect change and have a purpose bigger than myself. Working with schools and educators who truly want to make a difference in their communities inspires me every day. I could not ask for more than to get to travel to country doing work that I love, with people that I love!
Jessica Wright, Associate Director of School Services, Executive Assistant to the President

Art CharlesI am grateful for colleagues whose hard work has secured CS&A's strong position in the international school market.
Art Charles, Managing Associate

Kim GarnerI have so many things to be thankful for it’s hard to put into words. I’m thankful for the life I lead, my supportive family, and friends. I’m also thankful for the opportunity to go to a job I enjoy on a regular basis.
Kim Garner, Managing Associate, Director of Operations and Conferences

Ben BolteMy wonderful family and our home; steady and meaningful work with great colleagues and clients; a silky, smoky Cabernet; heavenly grace; New England weather; only two and half years left of college tuition.
Ben Bolte, Senior Search Consultant

Seliat DairoI am thankful for opportunities—to create, to engage, to thrive. I am thankful for the space to do meaningful work at a supportive company, and be a part of the conversation of how to best empower young people and the teachers that educate them.
Seliat Dairo, Placement Counselor

John FaubertI am thankful for my family—my amazing wife and life-changing children; my parents who turned 75 and 80 this year; and my five siblings and their spouses and children. There are enough of them that I have a hard time keeping up sometimes, but I always love this time of year, when we take a bit of time away from our workaday lives and catch up.
John Faubert, Managing Associate, Director of Placement

Diana ZitoNow more than ever, I am grateful to live where I live, and to have the friends and family that I have. As always, I’m grateful for my health, the freedom to travel, and the time to sleep in on the weekend!
Diana Zito, Placement Counselor

Liam GluckI am thankful for my family, my friends, and for working and living in the wonderful city of Boston!
Liam Gluck, Placement Counselor

Liz SchultzI am thankful for the new friends I’ve made this year and all that they have brought into my life.
Liz Schultz, Associate Director of Operations for Search

John ChandlerI want to thank my colleagues on the international team—and a great team it is. However, I am constantly reminded that we couldn’t do what we do without the extraordinary support we get from Liz, Greg, Steve, Albina, Julie, everyone in the office, and all of our consultant colleagues who are such wonderful sources of ideas, wisdom, and experience.
John Chandler, Senior Search Consultant

Sloane MeyerI am thankful for all of the wonderful schools that welcomed me on their campus this fall and the fact that I get to work with so many inspiring educators to help them find their dream schools. I am also thankful for my great coworkers, friends, and family.
Sloane Meyer, Placement Counselor

Skip KotkinsMy favorite part of any site visit is meeting with the kids. I am thankful because they provide the best reward for what we do. Unlike most of my CS&A colleagues, I didn't get to spend my career with kids in schools, so it is new and fresh and wonderful for me. And, because everyone needs a few enemies to keep one on one's toes, I am also thankful that my Seahawks beat your Pats on the highest-rated Sunday Night Football broadcast in 5 years!
Skip Kotkins, Senior Consultant

Jamie CohenI am thankful for my network of friends in Boston and Cambridge, for my mother and sister, who both live close by, my colleagues, who bring humor and perspective to this job, who support me and make this job exciting and fun, and for my job here at CS&A in general, which allows me to eat croque-monsieurs in Paris while interviewing masters’ program students, among other things!
Jamie Cohen, Placement Counselor

Gary DicovitskyOn the priority family front, grateful to be successfully downsizing and to witness two daughters advancing new phases of their lives, one beginning grad school and the other entering an engagement to marriage. Professionally, I feel blessed to have gained a truly extraordinary set of colleagues at CS&A. And, despite all the angst provoked by recent political allegations, we are privileged to be living in relative peace, with opportunities and liberties unsurpassed in the world we know.
Gary Dicovitsky, Search Consultant

Tom RedmonI am thankful when boards take responsibility for the whole life of their school and it's future.
Tom Redmon, Senior Counsel

Julie PiwowarczykIn a year of change, I’m thankful for the unwavering love of friends and family, for opportunity, and for the splendor of the outdoors.
Julie Piwowarczyk, Director of Communications
