  • Casady School (Oklahoma City, OK)

    Jason Scheer Middle School Director, Appointed for 2019

    Casady School will welcome Jason Scheer in the summer of 2019 as its next Middle School Director. Jason leaves Wesleyan School, Atlanta, GA where he served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Assistant Admissions Director since 2017. Jason began his work at Wesleyan in 2001 as a 7th grade teacher, later working as the Middle School Dean of Students and, more recently, Dean of Diversity. Jason holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia, a Master of Education in Earth Science from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma.

    Casady School is a PreK-12, independent, college preparatory Episcopal day school committed to deeper-level learning.   • Episcopal School of Dallas (Dallas, TX)

    David Baad Head of School, Appointed for 2018

    The Episcopal School of Dallas will welcome David Baad after an 28-year tenure at St. Albans School in Washington D.C. There he started as a Teacher and a Coach and continued to serve roles as Dormitory Head, Director of Athletics and Auxiliary Programs, Faculty Representative to the Governing Board, Associate Headmaster, and finally Acting Headmaster since 2015. David has also served as a Coach and Teacher at Flintridge Preparatory School in La Canada, CA. He holds a BA in History from Rollins College and an MA in Organizational Leadership from Columbia University Teachers College.

  • Good Shepherd Episcopal School (Austin, TX)

    Sheila Abio Head of School, Appointed for 2018

    Sheila will join GSES after ten years as a Division Head at St. Paul's Episcopal Day School in Kansas City. Prior to entering the Independent School world, she worked as a Family Advocate Specialist from 2007 -2008 at the Kansas City Public School District. Shiela began her career as a Community Support Specialist at a Mental Health facility. She has also held positions as an Intensive In-Home Specialist and the Director of Therapeutic Child Care Center. She holds a BA in psychology from Southern Methodist University, and MS in Counseling Psychology from Avila University, and an MA in Educational Leadership from Pennsylvania State University.

    Founded in 1945, Good Shepherd Episcopal School (“GSES”) is a parish day school ministry of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.  Located just west of downtown Austin, Texas, GSES currently serves 146 children from age two through Kindergarten and employs a staff and faculty of 32 professionals. GSES’ educational philosophy centers around a play-based, character-enriching early childhood program focused on educating the whole child. In 2015, the school opened a brand-new facility, completed as part of a $22 million, shared capital campaign with The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

  • Greenhill School (Addison, TX)

    Lee Hark Head of School, Appointed for 2018

    Lee will join Greenhill School following a ten-year tenure at Durham Academy in North Carolina, where he has served as Associate Head of School and Upper School Head. Previously, he served as Student Activities Director, Student Dean, and Asst. Upper School Head at Providence Day School, also in North Carolina. He has also held positions at Darlington School and Choate Rosemary Hall. Lee holds a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MEd in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia.

    Greenhill School is the leading independent, co-educational day school in the greater Dallas area serving 1257 students in grades Pre-K through 12. Greenhill School provides a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum that involves the integration of academic, artistic, athletic and social service in a positive and open atmosphere.

  • Hockaday School (Dallas, TX)

    Deborah Surgi Athletic Director, Appointed for 2018

    Hockaday School will welcome Deborah as their new Director of Athletics for the upcoming school year. Deborah leaves The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, PA where she has served for 13 years as Director of Athletics.  She also was a member of the Admissions Team and the Health & Safety, Faculty Excellence, and Equity & Inclusion Committees. Prior to this appointment she served a nine-year tenure as Athletic Director at Morristown Friends School in Morristown, NJ. Deborah has also held roles as Assistant Dean and Dean of Students respectively at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans, LA, as well as Physical Education Instructor and Varsity Girls' Volleyball Coach. Additionally she has served as Women's Head Volleyball Coach for Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. Deborah holds a BS and an M.Ed from University of New Orleans.

    Founded in 1913, Hockaday is a PK- 12 school for 1093 Girls. Through small classes, creative teaching, and an approach which emphasizes the process of learning, Hockaday seeks to discover unique aptitudes and awaken the intellectual curiosity of every girl. Through a strong physical education program and the challenge of competitive sports, Hockaday seeks to develop in each girl an enthusiastic spirit, a healthy body, and a sense of responsibility for herself and her actions.

  • St. Thomas High School (Houston, TX)

    Aaron Dominguez Principal, Appointed for 2017

    Aaron will join St. Thomas High School following a career in Texas public schools. He first began teaching in 2001, before being appointed Student Dean and eventually Principal of an elementary school. Aaron holds a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston.

    St. Thomas High School is a Roman Catholic college preparatory school for young men in grades 9-12. The school builds well-rounded, exemplary members of the community through a rigorous education, fraternal camaraderie, and consistent support from a community of over 10,000 alumni.

    Fr. Jim Murphy President, Appointed for 2019

    St. Thomas High School will welcome Fr. Jim Murphy in the summer of 2019 as its next President. Since 2011, Jim has held many positions at St. Thomas High School, including Interim President, Assistant Dean of Student, Assistant Athletic Director, Assistant Drama Director, and Theology teacher. Jim holds a Master of Education from the Lynch School of Education, Boston College, a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Michael’s College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism and History from St. John Fisher College. Over the past several years Jim has served on the Board of Directors for St. Thomas High School and the University of St. Thomas, the Foundation Board of St. Thomas High School, and currently the Board of Directors for Regis School.

  • Trinity School of Midland (Midland, Texas)

    Shelby Hammer Head of School, Appointed for 2018

    Shelby Hammer will join Trinity School of Midland after a 7-year tenure at River Oaks Baptist School in Houston. There, she served as Middle School Head from 2011-2017 and will serve as Assistant Head of School for Special Projects until her departure. Prior to River Oaks, Shelby was Head of Middle School at Highlands School in Alabama. She started her career as a teacher at the Randolph School in Alabama and has since held roles as a writer and communication specialist at a healthcare group as well as the Associate Dean of Faculty, Director of Financial Aid and Associate Director of Admission at Indian Springs School in Alabama. Shelby holds a BA in History from Duke, an MA in History from University of Alabama, and an M.Ed from Columbia University.
