What is a quote that you love?

“I know that my achievement is quite ordinary. I am not the only man to seek his fortune far from home, and certainly I am not the first. Still, there are times I am bewildered by each mile I have traveled, each meal I have eaten, each person I have known, each room in which I have slept. As ordinary as it all appears, there are times when it is beyond my imagination.” –  Jhumpa Lahiri, Interpreter of Maladies

Who was your favorite teacher in school?

Peter Durnan – he was my orientation hike leader; sophomore English teacher; senior AP Lit teacher; varsity soccer coach; advisor; friend.

What is your favorite book?

All-time favorites are Straight Man, by Richard Russo; Interpreter of Maladies, by Jhumpa Lahiri; and Before You Know Kindness, Chris Bohjalian. For quicker reads, I will pick up anything by Liane Moriarty; for thrillers, my new favorite author is Ruth Ware. If I’m reading to my kids, Giraffes Can’t Dance, Blueberries for Sal, and Circus Ship are my go-to options!
