Heather Hoerle is a nationally recognized leader in enrollment management in private K-12 education.  Known as one of the most strategic and influential association directors in the country, Heather’s career has been defined by a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing independent schools and the professionals who lead them.

Most recently, Heather served as Executive Director and CEO of The Enrollment Management Association (now E3n). During her 14-year tenure, she guided the organization through extraordinary growth and change, providing leadership to an association dedicated to supporting admission and enrollment professionals worldwide. Under her leadership, EMA expanded its professional development, assessment practices, and data resources, serving thousands of schools, students, and families each year.

Prior to joining EMA, Heather spent nearly two decades at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), where she served as Vice President of Member Relations and Director of Admission and Marketing Services. During her tenure, she helped increase NAIS membership by 27%, strengthened revenue across multiple areas, and led the development and delivery of leadership programming serving thousands of independent school professionals. She also designed and taught professional development programs for more than 800 admission, school leadership, communications, marketing, and trustee professionals and led research and benchmarking initiatives focused on enrollment, retention, attrition, and independent school trends.

Heather began her career in independent schools, serving as an administrator, teacher, advisor, and admission professional at George School and Westtown School. Her early experience working directly with students, families, and school communities provided a strong foundation for her understanding of the people and practices that shape successful schools.

A respected voice in the independent school community, Heather has served on the boards of organizations including the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools, United Educators, National Business Officers Association, Viewpoint School and Westtown School, her alma mater.

Heather brings a rare combination of school-based experience, association leadership, enrollment expertise, and a national perspective on the independent school landscape. She is passionate about helping schools and their leaders navigate change, strengthen their communities, and build sustainable pathways for the future.
