John Faubert joined Carney, Sandoe & Associates in the summer of 2000.  After two years with the company, he began serving as Director of Placement Services. He began his career at CS&A as a Placement Associate focused on English teacher placement and has since helped independent schools across the U.S. and abroad hire hundreds of senior administrators. He has led searches for Heads of School, Division and Assistant Heads as well as Deans and Directors of Curriculum, Diversity, Summer Programs, Global Studies, and Service Learning programs.

Before joining CS&A, John taught German and History at The Hun School of Princeton, where he also coached soccer and swimming, served as a dorm parent, and was Director of International Student Life. While studying in Germany with the Middlebury program, he played semi-professional soccer for Mainz ’05 and taught English through the Berlitz School. His professional background also includes work as an educational consultant for Princeton Teaching Associates Software and as a Compliance Officer for the Bill Bradley for President campaign. Additionally, he coached and trained youth athletes with the Princeton Soccer Association.

John is a graduate of Wellesley High School (MA), earned his B.A. in German Cultural Studies from Dartmouth College, and holds an M.A. in German from Middlebury College. He completed additional studies at Phillips Academy (Andover Summer Session) and Johannes Gutenberg Universität in Mainz, Germany. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Elizabeth Pratt and their two children, Sebastian and Sophie.
