Ben Bolté serves as a Senior Search Consultant and Practice Leader at Carney, Sandoe & Associates, where he has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the firm over four decades.  His contributions in global recruitment, strategic consulting, and leadership searches for independent, Catholic, and international schools have been significant and impactful to the firm and to clients and candidates. Ben has been instrumental in helping schools identify and hire literally hundreds of exceptional leaders, while also placing faculty and administrators in roles that align with their skills, values, and career aspirations. His work is rooted in fostering leadership development, improving organizational efficiency, and providing informed, mission-driven guidance to educational institutions around the world.

Prior to 2000, Ben served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CS&A, managing all operations, placement services, candidate recruitment, technology development, and conference services. He began originally as a CS&A Placement Associate conducting mathematics and science placement, and then as Senior Placement Associate and Director of Placement Services, conducting top administrator placement and search for division and assistant heads, deans, and directors of admission, college advising, finance, and development.

Ben taught English and served as Director of Admission at The Community School (ID). He has also worked as Director of Administration and Finance for a major Boston church, as a consultant to non-profit organizations in the areas of management and strategy development and implementation, and as a lacrosse coach for Belmont High School and for Belmont youth soccer and lacrosse associations.

Ben graduated from the Hill School (PA), then from Oberlin College with a B.A. in English and from Middlebury College (Bread Loaf School of English, Middlebury & Oxford) with an M.A. in English.

Ben has traveled extensively beginning with growing up in an multi-generational army family that moved frequently. He is a boarding school graduate who began his career teaching English before joining CS&A. His interests included technology, literature, cooking, all forms of exercise (including gardening), 70’s R&B, and his family.
