Barbara Daush is the Practice Leader for the Catholic Schools Practice. She joined the firm after serving for 42 years in independent school education in Memphis. She has worked on more than 40 head of school or principal searches with schools from size 80 to over 1,500. She is passionate about the missions and charisms of the Catholic schools with which she works.

Barbara’s recent assignments have included search work at Sacred Heart Schools (KY), Ursuline Academy (LA), Merion Mercy Academy (PA), St. Joseph’s Preparatory School (PA), Girls Preparatory School (TN), Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (GA), Presentation High School (CA), Visitation Academy (MO), Rossville Christian Academy (TN), Academy of the Sacred Heart (LA), Notre Dame Belmont (CA), and Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart (NJ).

Barbara began her career in education as a classics and world history teacher, then served in guidance and counseling before starting her administrative career. She has been a Lower School Head, Middle School Head, an Interim Head of School, and ended her administrative career as the first lay President of St. Agnes Academy – St. Dominic School in Memphis, TN. Barbara also served for two years at the University of Mississippi as a Regional Development Officer before joining CS&A. She has served as the Chair of the Board of the Southern Association of Independent Schools, the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools, and the Memphis Association of Independent Schools and currently serves on the Boards of The Assisi Foundation, Madonna Learning Center, and Visitation Academy.

Barbara graduated with a B.A. in Latin from the University of Mississippi and completed her M.A. (English and Secondary Education) and M.Ed. (Guidance and Counseling) degrees from the University of Memphis. She and her husband Mike have two married sons and six beautiful grandchildren all of whom live in Memphis.
