Burke Zalosh
Consultant
Burke Zalosh is a Consultant in the firm’s Search & Consulting Group and one of CS&A’s most experienced team members, having been with the firm for nearly 30 years.
Since joining the Search Group in 2011, Burke has led more than 80 head of school and senior administrative searches, partnering with a wide range of institutions — from PK–8 and K–12 schools to religiously affiliated communities — across the country. Her deep familiarity with school culture and leadership allows her to guide boards and search committees through the process with clarity, care, and expertise.
Client schools include Friends Seminary (NY), Brookwood School (MA), Marymount School (NY), New Roads School (CA), Colorado Academy (CO), The Baldwin School (PA), The Hockaday School (TX), and Norfolk Academy (VA).
Prior to joining the Search Group, Burke spent nearly a decade with CS&A’s Placement Group, where she oversaw elementary, history, and English hiring for schools nationwide. In that role, she built strong relationships with hundreds of schools and candidates, delivering outstanding recruitment support and facilitating thousands of successful placements. Her firsthand experience on both sides of the hiring process gives her a nuanced understanding of what schools need — and what candidates are looking for — in a meaningful professional match.
Before joining CS&A, Burke brought her passion for education into the classroom as a teacher at The Learning Project School (MA) and contributed to institutional development in the Advancement Office at The Rivers School (MA). This background in teaching and school operations gives her a grounded, practitioner’s perspective that she carries into every search.
Burke attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart (NY) and Pine Point School (CT) before graduating from The Williams School (CT). She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.
