Chris Boyle

Chris Boyle is a Consultant with the Search & Consulting Group and a member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Practice.
Since joining CS&A, Chris has worked on a wide range of searches and consulting projects. Recent searches include head of school searches at Aurora School (CA), Chicago Jesuit Academy (IL), The Kessler School (TX), and The Odyssey School (MD); Associate/Assistant Head and Academic Leadership searches at Isidore Newman School (LA), Park Tudor School (IN), San Francisco Friends School (CA) and United Nations International School (NY); Division Director searches at Hillbrook School (CA), John Thomas Dye School (CA), Princeton Day School (NJ), Sidwell Friends School (DC), and Stephen Gaynor School (NY); Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion searches at The Rivers School (MA) and St. Luke’s School (NY); Director of Admission and Enrollment Management searches at The Birch Wathen Lenox School (NY), Calhoun School (NY), Canterbury School (IN), Columbus School for Girls (OH), and The Rashi School (MA); and Director of College Counseling Searches at Francis Parker School (CA), The Episcopal Academy (PA), Ethical Culture Fieldston School (NY), The Nightingale-Bamford School (NY), and Sidwell Friends School (DC).
Chris has been a leader in developing and delivering CS&A’s implicit bias training for search committees and Member School leadership and hiring teams. Additionally, he leads and contributes to long-term diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting projects.
Chris brings 15 years of independent school experience from North Shore Country Day School (IL), where he was Assistant Head of School and Academic Dean for ten years. In that role, he was instrumental in the school’s institutional and strategic initiative leadership. He oversaw all academic departments and guided the development of the JK-12 educational program. Chris also led faculty recruitment, hiring, retention, professional development, and evaluation. Before serving as its Assistant Head, Chris was NSCD’s Director of College Counseling. His career started in the world of college admission.
Other past professional affiliations include serving as a Board of Directors member and Scholar Selections Chair for Point Foundation (the largest LGBTQ+ scholarship-granting organization in the U.S.), Mastery Transcript Consortium Site Director, Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator, homeroom leader for the Independent School Experiential Education Network’s Winter Institute, and member of ISACS accreditation teams.
Chris earned his B.A. from Knox College (IL). He enjoys exploring the food, visual art, and live music cultures wherever his travels take him. He lives in Southern California with his husband.
