Evelyne Estey is a seasoned international school leader with extensive experience guiding complex educational organizations through periods of growth and transition. She most recently served as Head of School at Taipei American School, where she provided interim leadership for a 2,400-student, K–12 day school with an $80M operating budget. Evelyne oversaw all aspects of school management and was appointed the school’s 16th Head of School in May 2024.

Prior to her work in Taipei, Evelyne served as Head of School at Lycée Français de New York from 2019 to 2023. In this role, she was responsible for leading a 1,200-student, N–12 bilingual day school. During her tenure, Evelyne implemented significant structural and strategic initiatives, including the creation of a standalone Middle School, the advancement of DEIB initiatives, the launch of faculty growth coaching, and the introduction of curriculum mapping. She also led the acquisition of an adjoining building, successfully navigated pandemic-related enrollment challenges, expanded financial aid, and achieved record growth in development revenue.

Earlier in her career at Lycée Français de New York, Evelyne served as Deputy Head and Chief Financial and Operations Officer. In this strategic leadership role, she oversaw the school’s non-academic functions, including finance, facilities, human resources, and technology, bringing operational clarity and financial discipline to a complex bilingual institution.

In addition to her school leadership experience, Evelyne has provided strategic consulting services to educational institutions, supporting boards and leadership teams with governance, financial strategy, and organizational effectiveness.

Evelyne began her professional career in finance, holding senior leadership roles at Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch. Her work included serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer within investment banking and asset management divisions, as well as experience as a mergers and acquisitions banker. This background gives her a distinctive strength in financial stewardship, governance, and operational leadership within educational settings.

Evelyne earned a Masters in Management from École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Jouy-en-Josas, France, and holds a certificate in Mobilizing Your Nonprofit Board from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
