Nancy Kehoe is a Consultant with our Search & Consulting Group.
Nancy brings more than three decades of experience in independent school fundraising and advancement, Nancy’s career has encompassed every facet of the advancement office —from annual giving and alumnae relations to leading transformational capital campaigns. A strategic and relational leader, Nancy is known for her ability to guide institutions through complex, multi-year initiatives with clarity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for school culture. She partners closely with heads of school, boards, and advancement teams to build thoughtful, mission-aligned fundraising programs that strengthen communities and deliver lasting impact.
Nancy is concluding her role as Director of Advancement at Mount Tamalpais School in Mill Valley, California, where she led the school’s first comprehensive capital campaign in support of multiple strategic initiatives. Earlier in her career she spent more than a decade at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco as Director of Development and held leadership roles at The Hamlin School and the University of Virginia. The depth and breadth of her work throughout different regions of the country in multiple schools have helped her build a strong national reputation in fundraising, program development, and community engagement. A respected leader in the field, Nancy is also the founding board president of the Advancement Exchange for Independent Schools (AeXIS) and has served on numerous nonprofit and school boards.
As an independent school “lifer” and graduate of The Masters School, she brings a deep, personal understanding of independent school culture and community as well. She holds a B.A. in Speech Communications from The College of Wooster and currently resides in Mill Valley, CA but is looking forward to moving to Boston, Massachusetts later in 2026.
