Steve Carpenter
Director of Technology
Steve Carpenter is the Director of Technology at Carney, Sandoe & Associates, where he has played a key role in advancing the firm’s digital infrastructure since joining in 2014. With a deep commitment to efficiency, reliability, and innovation, Steve leads all aspects of the firm’s technology strategy—ranging from system architecture and data security to user support and software implementation.
Before joining CSA, Steve held positions at the Boston Parks & Recreation Department, Speechworks, and MIT Lincoln Laboratory, each of which sharpened his ability to problem-solve and adapt across diverse environments. His thoughtful, solutions-driven approach has become a trusted asset to his colleagues, who rely on his calm expertise and deep knowledge of both legacy systems and emerging technologies.
Originally from Michigan, he moved east to attend Northeastern University and has since built a dynamic career rooted in both public and private sector roles. Outside of work, Steve enjoys playing golf, exploring New England’s seasonal beauty, and has an unabashed love for a good bowl of soup—no matter the weather.
