I love the smell of gardenias. A little hokey, but they remind me of my late grandparents’ home in Aiken, South Carolina.

Devereaux graduated from the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA. He then graduated from Duke University in Durham, NC with a B.A. in History; the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, GA with a J.D.; Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, MA with a M.T.S. He completed additional studies at the Bread Loaf School of English (Middlebury, VT) and at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (Buenos Aires).
Devereaux practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia with Womble, Carlyle & Associates, specializing in business litigation. He left law practice to pursue graduate work at Harvard’s Program in Religion and Secondary Education; taught American history, economics, and the American Legal System at Phillips Andover Academy’s Summer Sessions (Andover, MA); student-taught civics at Boston Latin High School (Boston, MA) and the American Legal System at the Media and Technology Charter High School of Boston (MATCH); and tutored 4th grade at the Boston Renaissance Charter School.
Devereaux joined CS&A in the summer of 2000, and has been President since 2004. He serves on the Board of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), New England Chapter since 2007, the Board of the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education (CSEE) since 2009, and the Board of the Sposato Graduate School of Education since 2012.
