Computer Science/Technology Teaching Jobs

Education is constantly evolving, changing, and maturing as societies and cultures develop.

Over the last few decades, the rise in new technology — and the effects technology have on education — has been staggering. Toddlers who can barely speak are adept at using iPads; young children are more computer-literate than their parents; teenagers are writing code and building websites. If you are excited by the possibilities computer science and technology produce for education and for our country’s future, then you might consider a position as a computer science teacher or technology director in an independent school.

Teaching Computer Science and Directing Technology at an Independent School

The innovation and advancement that have defined the childhood years of the new millennium have produced an enhanced computer science and technology curriculum in independent schools. Education extends beyond the computer lab; increasingly, schools employ leaders who can help teachers integrate technology into daily classroom life. Our client independent schools are always looking to hire knowledgeable, innovative computer science teachers as well as directors of technology who can support the technology plans of the entire school.

“I knew I wanted to work in education. However, I had many different skills and a lack of a clear idea of how to advance in the field of education. Fortunately, I found Carney, Sandoe, & Associates, and even more fortunately, I was assigned to Todd Gochman as my Placement Associate. Todd has been so personable, listening to my concerns and my desired career path. He has guided me without judgement, providing options and suggestions. He has made me feel incredibly comfortable so that I really wanted to make a position happen, not only for me, but also to make him proud. Fast forward to last week when I signed a contract with a fantastic school in Seattle! I hadn’t even considered Seattle, but I trusted Todd. I am extremely grateful to him for his amazing patience and support in working with me.”

“Thank you so much! Honestly the full story of how I came to CS&A is that one day I happened to meet a private school teacher who uses your agency every time he looks for a job. I said I was a substitute teacher trying to get into the private world, and he immediately told me to go to CS&A. He talked all about your international contacts and how it was the way to go. I’d already gotten fed up with trying to apply on my own. I frantically wrote down CS&A’s name, and that was it. A few days later I had been emailed by you and LeeAnn and it all worked out. I would never have even heard of Kiski without you. It was meant to be. You are part of a tremendous organization and I cannot thank you enough for your part in things! Keep up the good work, I am so happy right now.”

“Sloane, as this year comes to a close I reflect on all that I am thankful for in 2018. I cannot personally thank you enough for your guidance and advice this past year during my job search. Carney Sandoe was beyond helpful throughout this time. I never imagined my career transition would bring me back to Memphis, but I am so grateful that it did! The past five months have been incredibly enjoyable and such a wonderful learning experience. In embarking on a career change within the school setting, I certainly relied on your insight and expertise and I want to thank you again for taking the time to provide me with such valuable input. I hope that our paths cross in the near future.”
