Drama and Theatre Teaching Jobs

For you, all the world truly is a stage. Whether it’s the humor of Simon, the heartbreak of Williams, the realism of Chekhov, or the mastery of the Bard himself, the drama of dramatic works inspires and excites you.

You know that there is much to be learned — about history, about literature, about human emotion — from the theatre, and you know that the study and practice of dramatic arts can create more confident speakers and individuals. Have you ever considered showcasing your passion for theatre as a drama teacher in an independent school?

Teaching Drama and Theatre at an Independent School

Endowed with the holistic values of 21st-century education, independent schools seek not only to create students who produce exceptional standardized test scores but also to cultivate in students a rich medley of characteristics including self-expression, oration, poise, and creativity. These vital elements of the dramatic arts reinforce the core values of many independent schools; consequently, our client schools try to provide opportunities for students passionate about drama. Many independent schools support state-of-the art set equipment and performance spaces and encourage drama and theatre teachers to connect their concentration with other disciplines, such as English and History.
