Kathrina Weekes is the Head of School at Julia Morgan School for Girls in Oakland, California. With more than 20 years in independent schools, she has served as a teacher, dean, and Director of Enrollment Management, bringing a systems-level understanding of how admission, retention, and community culture intersect. Kathrina’s leadership centers on access, belonging, and partnership with families, and she is especially interested in how schools can build enrollment practices that are both strategic and deeply human. In her work in strategic enrollment management, Kathrina has guided schools in using data and intentional planning to align enrollment goals with the institutional mission, moving beyond simply filling seats to cultivate communities that reflect a school’s deepest values. She understands that sustainable enrollment is built on trust, and that the decisions schools make about who they recruit, how they welcome families, and how they support students through every transition are ultimately expressions of institutional character. She is passionate about helping school leaders create communities where students and families feel truly seen and known.
