Through the lens of the deep experience of our panelists, we’ll dig into the importance of mentorship and sponsorship for women in schools today and explore how to engage effectively on both the giving and the receiving end of these skills through storytelling.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the critical differences between the work of mentorship and that of sponsorship in supporting and promoting successful careers in educational leadership. This workshop will explore and dig into some of the data surrounding women in leadership within their school communities. In our discussions of the joys and challenges of implementing these approaches, we’ll also explore the relevance of this work to searching for your next position.

1:15-2:15Toxic Feminism: When Intersectionality Isn't Enough (Kellogg Room)

If your feminism isn't intersectional, then who's it REALLY for? Come share in a challenging dialogue about how white feminism has stymied the progressive work of women and how you can be a better co-conspirator in the work of gender equity and racial justice.
