#TestimonialTuesday

The words thank you with a man giving a thumbs up

At this time of year, it's not uncommon to hear members of our Placement Group offering exclamatory “Congratulations!” on phone calls with candidates who have received job offers, or swapping success stories about finding a candidate that “unicorn” job. It's this buzz in the air and the excited, gracious emails we receive that remind us why we do what we do.

It's no secret that we take great pride in our work, but it's rare that we take a moment to pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. In this post, in the spirit of #TestimonialTuesday, we're sharing notes and testimonials from some of the CS&A candidates who we have assisted this hiring season in finding their perfect match position. There's no shame in that, right?

Dear Jamie and Courtney,
Thank you! I am very excited to start this new position in the fall. I know I was very vague about what I was looking for during my search, but you sent me many schools to choose from and expanded my search to schools I would not necessarily have thought of applying to. You both did a wonderful job, because this is the school I was looking for!

Thanks again,
Albina
French Candidate

Dear Ada,
Thank you so much for taking me into your pool and working with me on possibilities for next year. I really appreciate the care you took in the process and the thoughtfulness of your choices for me. I was supported and inspired by your insight and acumen–it actually taught me a lot about myself. In good news, I've accepted an offer from the school we were discussing! It's not something I would have anticipated from the outset, but I see a lot of promise in the community, and my wife and I agreed that we want to give it a good try. We are going to be active in residential life, and I will be the Upper School Latin teacher. They're also looking for opportunities for her. I'm so grateful for everything you and the CS&A team have done for me and I know this wouldn't have been possible without your hard work. Thank you very, very much!

With sincere gratitude,
Liz Penland
Latin Candidate

Hi Devereaux,
I wanted to let you know that Ben and Sloane were crucial to my job search this past year. I always found them nothing less than professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I've worked with Ben on and off for several years and enjoyed each experience. While just meeting Sloane this past year, I also enjoyed getting to know her and the insight she was able to bring to the process. They truly helped me feel better about what can be a stressful process and made me feel that I was properly prepared for every meeting I had with a school. At no point did I feel like I was just one amongst the many, many candidates I'm sure they're working with; I always got the attention I wanted, right up to the end when I was negotiating salary and accepting the offer.

Sincerely,
Tim Townley
College Counseling Candidate

Hello Elizabeth and Katie,
I am happy to report that I accepted a job we discussed teaching first grade. I never thought it would materialize, but it is basically a dream job, and I am super excited! The school wasn't even on my family's radar when I was at the FORUM/Boston hiring conference, but I decided to stop by their table and say hello because I have always wanted to move out west to the mountains. Sure enough, I had a great conversation with the head and the process snowballed from there. Thanks a million for all of your insight, advice, referrals, and follow-ups. I really appreciate it and was also given two other excellent offers. However, this school won my heart and ended up being my top choice.

Take care and perhaps our paths will cross again in the future!

Dear Mr. McClatchey,

I just wanted to take a brief moment to say thank you to the Carney Sandoe team and in particular my representative, Liam Gluck. Over the past couple of months, I have been working with Liam and cannot say enough good things about him. He has recommended positions that were not only a good fit for me professionally but personally as well. Furthermore, I really appreciated his professional insight throughout the process, whether that be cover letter expertise or timely follow up messages with potential employers. In closing, I would look forward to working with Liam and Carney Sandoe again, if the opportunity were to present itself.

Library Candidate

Hello DZ,

I wanted to reach out and thank you so much for all of your help through this hiring process. I really appreciated the individualized approach that you had. I felt like you knew me as a candidate and that you connected me to a school that was a perfect fit for me. I could not have asked for a better experience. I am beyond excited to begin my new position in July! I hope that I do not need to reach out for help with a job search for a long time, and I look forward to running into you at conferences and continuing to work with you in the future.

Thanks again,
Allie
Residential Life Candidate
