The Details: FORUM/San Francisco 2017

We're headed back to the Golden State for our second California hiring conference! This time, we're hosting schools and candidates in San Francisco.

Here’s a breakdown of all you need to know if you’re headed to this event.

1. The details:

Location- The Westin St. Francis, 335 Powell Street, San Francisco

Friday, March 17
7:00 a.m.- Candidate and school registration opens
8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.- Interviews

2. Log into the San Francisco conference module.

This is crucial to your conference experience! Whether you’re a school or a candidate, you need to log in and review a few items. For schools: Check your schedule often, making note of any candidates that may have cancelled interviews or of any interviews we set up for you. Need more interviews? Let us know, we're happy to help! For candidates: You should also be checking your schedule and letting any schools who have scheduled interviews with you know right away if you’re not interested. Your schedule can change often, so keep track of what time your interviews are.

3. Have some open interview slots? Don’t panic!

Schools are often busy scheduling interviews up until the day of the event. If you only have one or two interviews, we still highly recommend attending as we know that many interviews are scheduled at the last minute. Concerns? Talk to your Placement Associate. If you’re a school contact and you’d like to fill in some of your empty slots, reach out to your Placement Team and we’ll work to add a few more interviews.

4. What should you bring?

For both schools and candidates, we recommend bringing a laptop or tablet to access the conference module (and a charger!) or to use in between interviews. Schools have access to candidate resumes, but candidates can bring a few extra copies, too, if they’d like. Other than that, just bring a positive attitude!

5. Communication is key.

Running late? Suddenly sick? We know some circumstances are unavoidable. All we ask is that you let us know about any change in your plans so we can work to accommodate anyone who might be affected by the change. If you’re a candidate, you’ll receive a phone number you can call in emergencies on the day of the event. You should also email your Placement Team to let them know of any schedule changes.

6. Enjoy professional development panels in between interviews.

We're pleased to share the following panel discussions for you to attend if you have open time slots on your schedule.

All panels will take place in the Oxford Room.

10:30 a.m.- “The Deal with Docs”- Building Your File with CS&A
